Tom, can I read a PWM input? Absolute encoder signal would be 12 bit at 250 hz. So resolution is about 1usec.

Not sure I understand. But I'm thinking you want to measure the PWM pulse with a timer?

KFLOP doesn't have any hardware timer inputs. I can't think of a way to do that without external circuitry like gating a 1MHz encoder signal.
